This group was started with the intention of providing twenty/thirty-something book-lovers in the Metro-Denver area a friendly and casual forum to discuss books. This is a group meant for people of the same age to meet and enjoy each other's company with a different theme each get-together. For example...September can be Books and wine...October can be Books and dinner. The possibilities are endless! This is NOT a serious book discussion with difficult questions or hidden meanings. This book club is for thinkers who enjoy readings that challenge conventions and spark new ideas. This is a book club for folks that love to talk about the book--and are ready to disagree and laugh in the process. From mystery, biography, essays and novels, any kind of book is up for grabs--just as long as it brings new ideas to the table. Being willing to talk about social issues, history, food and character development are required.
I decided to start this group because I love hiking and I love book clubs. This meetup has all the activity of hiking and the great conversations of a book club in one! This meetup will be a book club in motion. We will read one book each month, and discuss it during a hike near Boulder.

Books for discussion can include contemporary publications or those of centuries past. NOTE: This group used to meet in person, monthly in Boulder. As of September 2011, we have taken this group online, where currently, participation is maxe …

I do Intuitive readings in Longmont, and through this have met a number of folks who say they are hungry for connection with others of like spiritual mind. Longmont has long been a more conservative community, but that is changing, and there are those who want to expand their minds and hearts as well. We'll get together in a local bookstore to discuss a book, and to explore subjects connected with it. Hopefully you'll come with some stories to share and questions to ask.
… Since we all read so much, we bring books in to share with each other. It's kind of fun, and by no means a requirement; it just broadens our horizons, and builds our libraries as we get to know each other. We don't have a potluck (except for May and November when we vote), but snacks are always welcome! A small kitchen and soda machine is available for our use. HOW WE CHOOSE OUR BOOKS: We vote on them every six months (in May and November) by Democratic Process. Everyone brings in a list of …
Many of us have good intentions of picking up a book and reading it all the way through. However, we often start a book, put it to the side, pick up another one and continue this cycle until we have a pile of unfinished books. Some of us have even given up on reading entirely. Root Yoga Book Club offers us a new way to re-build our internal library and to begin reading once again, as well as have support in completing books and discussing them with a like-minded community. Build your library …
